Who Vodafone Business is
Vodafone Business sells business mobile, broadband and network services in the UK, from single-line accounts to large organisations.
Vodafone Business has separate routes for small businesses (1 to 9 employees), medium businesses (10 to 249) and large organisations (250 and over), and sells both directly and through suppliers. We supply EE Business and Three Business, and can also supply Vodafone Business. For more on Vodafone Business, see Forever Group's Vodafone Business page.
The 5G+ network
Vodafone Business calls its upgraded 5G network 5G+. It runs on a new 5G core network, which the industry calls 5G Standalone. Vodafone Business says 5G+ brings greater 5G coverage, improved phone battery life and fast 5G speeds. Vodafone Business also notes that 5G+ is not available when roaming, and that some older Apple SIMs need replacing to use it.
To use 5G+ you need a 5G+ enabled device and a plan that includes 5G+ access, and you need to be in a 5G+ area. Check the postcodes and buildings that matter with Vodafone Business's coverage checker, and see our guide to business mobile coverage for how to test on site.
For what 5G Standalone means in practice, including network slicing and lower latency, see 5G for business.
Phones, SIMs and eSIM
Vodafone Business sells business SIM plans, multi-line SIM plans and data-only plans, for phones such as Apple iPhone, Samsung and other Android phones, plus tablets, laptops and smartwatches. Our sister site also covers business SIM only plans.
When you choose phones for a Vodafone Business fleet, check three things:
- 5G+ support. Only 5G+ enabled devices can use the 5G+ network, so check before you buy if 5G+ is part of the reason for choosing Vodafone Business.
- eSIM. Compatible devices can take an eSIM, which makes it easier to activate lines remotely and to give staff a work line on a dual SIM phone. See business eSIM.
- Management. Plan how the phones will be enrolled into your MDM before they arrive. See zero-touch enrolment.
You can usually keep your numbers when you move: text PAC to 65075 from each phone for a Porting Authorisation Code, valid for 30 days, and we can help with the rest. For help choosing handsets, see mobile phones for business.
Is Vodafone Business the right fit for you?
We will check it against your systems and requirements and recommend the right option.
SuperMobile for Business
SuperMobile for Business is Vodafone Business's premium 5G+ plan for small businesses with 1 to 9 employees. Its distinguishing feature is 5G+ FastTrack, which Vodafone Business describes as a dedicated lane on its network that prioritises your business's connection.
According to Vodafone Business:
- SuperMobile plans come with a minimum speed commitment on 5G+ FastTrack, set out in Vodafone Business's own terms and conditions
- The plans include Secure Net Mobile security
- You need a 5G+ compatible phone and good 5G+ coverage in your area
For a small team that relies on mobile data for payments, video calls or large files in busy places, a prioritised plan can be worth considering. Whether it suits you depends on 5G+ coverage where you work, so check that first. Plan details, allowances and pricing are confirmed at quote.
GigaCube and mobile broadband
Vodafone Business offers several ways to get devices and premises online over its network:
- GigaCube. A portable, plug-and-play 4G and 5G Wi-Fi router. Vodafone Business says it can connect up to 64 devices and positions it for growing teams of 10 or more as a flexible alternative to fixed broadband.
- Data-only SIMs. For tablets, data dongles and mobile Wi-Fi devices.
- Mobile Wi-Fi and data dongles. Portable devices for getting a laptop or a few devices online on the move.
- Plans for tablets and laptops. Data plans for iPads, Android tablets and laptops with built-in mobile connectivity.
A plug-in router suits temporary sites, offices waiting for fibre and backup connections. For permanent offices that need consistent bandwidth, we can also supply a fixed line; see Forever Group's business connectivity pages. Our guides to 5G business broadband, mobile broadband for business and the business data SIM explain the options in more detail.
Roaming with Vodafone Business
Vodafone Business's roaming is organised into zones. Depending on the plan, business customers can take their UK plan to its Europe zones, and Vodafone Business says its World Zone covers over 100 destinations, where a simple daily rate lets you use your UK plan. It also sells roaming add-ons, data passes and bundles for other destinations, and mobile broadband plans that work abroad.
Which zones are included and what each costs depends on the plan and when it started, so we confirm roaming terms at quote. For a general guide to daily passes, fair use and spend controls abroad, see business roaming.
For larger organisations
Vodafone Business offers network services aimed at medium and large organisations:
- 5G+ Slicing. A prioritised slice of the 5G+ network for organisations operating in a 5G+ area that need assured performance across a local area of up to five square kilometres.
- Mobile Private Networks. A dedicated on-site 4G or 5G network built for one organisation, aimed at sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, transport and smart buildings where reliability is critical.
- IoT connectivity. SIMs and connectivity services for connected devices and machines.
- Security add-ons. Including Secure Net Mobile and mobile security apps such as Lookout, alongside cyber security services.
These are specialist projects that Vodafone Business scopes for each customer. If you are exploring one, we can help you frame the requirement. If you need mobile threat defence on its own, we can also supply Lookout mobile security and other mobile security software.
How we supply Vodafone Business
We can also supply Vodafone Business lines, SIMs and mobile broadband, and help with what surrounds them: checking 5G+ coverage, checking your devices, porting numbers with a PAC, setting up eSIM and enrolling devices into your MDM. Pricing, plan features and roaming terms are confirmed at quote.
For the other networks we supply, read our guide to business mobile phone providers.
